    Mpro7 Copper Remover on slide?

I got some brass marks on the slide. Figure I use some copper remover to get them out. Will this affect the finish at all?

    Thanks!

I am low tech so there are better ways, but:

        Picture on phone.
Send to email on computer, medium size seems to work.
Open email and name the photo onto a folder or desktop.
Open your post, click on the location for the pic, click paperclip symbol.
        Browse, find pic, then upload.
        Click paperclip symbol again.

Preview the post just in case.

You want to remove the brass smudges, just to have them reappear the next time you shoot it? They'll come off with just about any oil or cleaner and some scrubbing.

Melonite is really tough. I don't know of any gun cleaning solvent that can degrade it.

Is there any sort of warning on the bottle? If you have any doubts, just stick with a little gun oil, a piece of cloth or a nylon brush, and some elbow grease.

                It won't hurt the slide.

Why remove the marks? They tell a story.

I’m starting to think the same thing and just leave it. It’s my do everything gun so it’s gonna get nicked. If it gets really bad I can just get it ceratoted anyway.

Not that interesting of a story. I was doing a class and the casings from the guy next to me hit the gun. The next casing hit me in the face. Leaving a huge black mark that no one told about the whole class....
