    Beretta Elite Roster confusion

So I'm kind of on a fix for a Beretta Elite and saw that the Elite is on the roster by some miracle but they make it so dam confusing since their was 3 different variants and 2 are listed.

The Elite II is cut and dry on the roster the even have the detailed model J92GSD1 which I can google and it's a two-tone only without rail either caliber is listed.

But what the hell is a Elite A1? As far as I can research no such model exists and they list it at 4.5 inch barrel when all Elite's come with a 4.7 inch.

Beretta made a Elite all black no rail, and a Elite IA all black with railed Vertec frame.

Any one have any clue about this?

I saw that thread but am still not sure which one besides the Elite II is on the list.

So the pic monkeywrech posted on the other thread the one in the middle is on the roster but the one on top or the one on the bottom is that what CA considers the 92G A1?

Or do they not even know what model they rostered?

Could I order a Elite 92G the one on the bottom and would they state even know if it was DROSed as a 92G A1?

Yeah, Beretta is the only one who can give them the details which end up on the roster.

Also some manufactures send in models which are unreleased and have never been for sale. I don't understand why they would do this, but they do it and they keep paying the tax on those models too.. I'm not sure what the case is here..

I've also found that manufactures don't really care to respond to questions on the roster unless the firearms is in active production.. This one isn't , so I'm not sure what sort of respond you may get contacting Beretta. You can still do it, but don't expect miracles.

Yes, very sadly I just recently (month ago) I just learned this the hard way. Bought factory new Elite "1A" and it could not be Dros'ed because there is no 1A on roster only A1 which is incorrect and doesnt exist. My FFL got in contact with DOJ and as previously mentioned the list can not be altered by DOJ; manufacturer must re-submit corrected info on the gun. Long story short save your money so you can PPT one here in California or save up your money to make your own. RIP
