      jvquattro, you wrote:

Ignoring the fictitious nature of 007, I would think that .32 Auto would be what you implied.

When he used PPK. Lately, he's been using P99.

Ignoring it? In the various books and films, 007 has used everything from a .22 AR7 (film: From Russia w/ Love), .25 Beretta(novel: Casino Royale), 7.65 Walther PPK(novel: Dr. No), on up to a S&W Model 29(film: Live and Let Die).

Does it have the AS trigger or the QA trigger? I think the AS trigger is the one to get.

It is a little snappier, but I still won IDPA competitions with it.

                      HK!
Given that the HK has the ergonomics of a brick, I've always thought that the Walther was the better gun. It was the first to offer multiple backstraps, and it is an absolute tack driver in terms of accuracy.

I had the P99 in .40. Great gun, but I sold it because I only wanted one .40 gun for concealed carry (so I have a M&P40c now). If the gun had been a 9mm, I would have kept it.

In the latest movie, he's switched back to the PPK for the most part. In all honesty, I expected a tie-in with the PPS since it was coming out around the time the movie was being made.

At any rate, congrats on the P99. I have one in 9mm and love it to death.

I bought my P99 AS 9mm today. It looks just like the one above.
Thanks for all the input guys! Now the wait begins.
