S&W 310 NG

Hello anyone out there have any experience with the new 310 Night Guard 40/10mm. The revolver is a N frame that holds 6 rounds of 40 or 10mm. I wish they made the gun is the L frame, but I am not sure if the frame can handle the 10mm round.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't believe they're actually released yet. S&W was saying June 1st but it's currently not expected to be submitted for CA testing. That's just from a customer service rep so may not be reliable. I did check with the major distributors a few weeks ago and they hadn't received any yet.

Still not out as far as I know. I'm waiting to see how long it takes to get Cal Approved.

I sure hope that they become certified for California sale, because it'd make a great lightweight companion for my 610-2 3 7/8" unfluted revolver:





In any case, the S&W 310 Night Guard hasn't been released yet. The rest of the country is still waiting. Hopefully, our wait in California won't be much longer.

I agree. I wish that it was an option on more of their revolvers. I have only one other revolver with an unfluted cylinder, specifically my Performance Center 500 with 7.5" barrel:



The frame and barrel have been blackened, but are stainless steel. The controls and cylinder are hard-chromed. That's all factory work. The only things I added were the Nill grips and Leupold handgun scope.

Those Nill grips are NICE! I was looking for something with a little more grip for my 610

Interesting...I assumed it was a result of some post-processing work...

Actually, the laser etching is on the other side of the barrel. If memory serves, it is "Smith & Wesson" and "10 MM" that is laser-etched.
