Just started the paperwork on the Argentine FM made Hi Power copy. I'd like to swap out the usual tiny BHP safety for the ambi version offered by Browning and a C&S extended slide release. Does anyone know if these parts interchange with the FM version?

It should, as I recall the FM’s were originally made to FN’s spec under military contract.
Obviously some fitting may be required but that can be said of a FN/Browning Hi-Power as well.sigpic NRA Benefactor Life Member / CRPA Life Member / SAF Life Member

Are you doing trigger work? Mine had a terrible trigger. I got mine a long time ago though.Comment

I may just clean things up a bit. But this thing has a far better trigger pull than my 70's BHP and MkIII in 40 S&W/357 Sig. Surprised the heck out of me on that accord. Good enough that I thought someone had removed the mag disconnect but it's still in there, checked at the store.
I'm going with the Browning factory ambi safety. I like the solid pin rather than the "tongue in groove" of the aftermarkets. And as expensive as Browning parts tend to be, ambi with right side cold rolled retaining pin ran only $35.00 total at MGW.
I have a Ceiner rimfire conversion for the BHP, hopefully it works on the FM too. Have a feeling I'll get much mileage out of this pistol.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment
