Before I order this pistol I want to confirm that the only Uzi banned by name is the IMI model that is marked "UZI". The current production that is IWI UZI Pro Pistol is good to go, correct?

Correct on it not being make/model banned.
^This is due to different manufacturer (IMI vs IWI) and different importers (Action Arms & Springfield Armory vs IWI USA & Umarex).

Was it gold plated? I heard when you gold plate it and engrave it with nudie pictures, the accuracy improves by 50%

Seriously though, it looks like IWI has done a lot to improve the ergonomics since the original Uzi. The charging handle location, the grip and the magazine release, etc. I would guess they also have done a lot of other things to improve the Uzi since.

I have the original Uzi too. Horrible ergonomics and horrible trigger. People say adding a stock helps its accuracy a lot. Depending on the outcome of Miller vs. Becerra, I might SBR it and keep it out of CA.

I had the original Uzi pistol in the 80s. I wouldn't say it was accurate.

I have an imi selectfire. I can hit a 10 inch plate at 120 yards consistently. Surprisingly accurate for what it is. Of course when I don't use the stock it is all over the place.
