Intra-family transfer

I know this subject has been covered extensively in the past, but I just want to clarify this in my mind. I've been drooling over the CZ P-07 since their release. They are not listed for sale in California. My daughter lives in Nevada where they are available. Could this pistol be transferred from her to me under the intra-family transfer provisions of the California gun laws? The transfer is usually talked about in a parent to child or grandparent to grandchild format, but is it also valid in the reverse order? Also, in most cases I'm aware of, this is usually referenced as a gift or inheritance. Can this also be a purchase?

I do realize that currently there are no 10 round magazines available for this weapon, but I am hoping that this will change in the future. Or possibly that the current hi-cap mag can be altered to meet California standards. That's another hurdle to be cleared.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, up and down the blood line is cool.

It will be a gift, still has to go through your local FFL and he will be able to charge whatever he wants. The magazine issue is it's own thing. Just have her disassemble the magazine and ship the parts directly to you. As most FFLs will have issues with receiving a gun with Hi Cap mags.

You will then need to find a way to permanently make them 10 round mags, or just do not shoot it in California.
