    Is $600.00 a good price for a used S&W 686 6shot snub noise?????

Hey everyone I was wondering if 600.00 was a good deal for a S&W 686 6shot snub noise? It is used with about 250 rounds through it, no visible marks on it...... Should I buy or should I wait and buy it new?????

Ps. or just get a Glock 17 or Glock 31 ( I am a real Glock fan but I always wanted a revolver. )

I would use this next gun for the range but more to store down stairs in my house (in an other room away from the rest of my other toys) so i'm ready for anything any where

if it's a .357mag you might want to look and see if you will be able to find .357 mag ammo. I just bought a .357mag and Im stuck shooting .38!

My choice to get a snubbie was for CCW... HD I go with a .45acp, and even then my kimber is 2nd to my 870... why wound an intruder when you can kill.

    just my .02.

Is it a 2.5" bbl or a 3" bbl? Two friends & I have a standing routine of selling between one another a 3" 686 for $200.00. It is currently with my "other" friend and I'm waiting my turn.

            I think it is fair

I believe that $600 is about the market today for a prelock 686 with 2.5 inch barrel in excellent condition. I bought the one below last November for $595 and don't regret it.

i'm waiting the 10 days for my 686 7 shot 4" barrel. i payed 600 +tax and dros for it. i was lucky enough that a few calgunners were able to spare a box or two of both 357 and 38.

Blue Book of guns rates the 686 at $525 at 100%.

Did you buy it new or used?

I have found .38 and .357 ammo @ big 5 and wallymart. Do you know if it is a prelock one since it is used? I see new ones on gunbroker go for about $700. Snubs might be a little more popular because when I got my 6" 610, no one really wanted it since it had a 6" barrel.

                            Since I love (pre-lock) S&Ws, I'd pay $600 for a pre-lock 686 in the condition you described.

Maybe it's just me, but $600 seems like a bargain in today's over-inflated 2A market.

                              I'd pay $600... for a pre-lock.
