If your whole group is left, maybe just adjust the sights to center it.

If it’s just certain problem shots, work on trigger finger placement on the trigger.

Could be a matter or trigger pull release. Measure differentials in lbs....

What I have noticed when I started shooting is that I wasn't pulling all triggers the same way.

The farther the trigger sat away from the back of the gun, the more my index finger would naturally pull to the left as it "closed" toward the rest of the fingers wrapped around the grip.

I had to constantly remind myself to pull "toward the right shoulder" to produce a pull that was straight back instead of allowing my finger to "bend" to the left as if I was just closing my hand into a fist.

Just my observation of my own practices.

Once you get your sight picture, imagine that you're trying to pull the front sight back to your eye through the rear sight blade.

A mix of live and dummy rounds (ideally loaded into your magazine by someone else) will show you exactly what's happening (assuming you're watching your sights through the shot.) Make sure you remove a dummy and not a squib after each non-firing shot though.

Grip as hard as you can with both hands, very tight, do not relax grips.

Use pad of finger on trigger.

Mentally try to slowly pull back on the trigger, straight back, like your pulling the trigger slowly straight back towards the back of the slide.

Surprise break (fire).

Sight alignment, sight picture, vise grip, trigger control, surprise break, follow through (keep sights on target even after weapon fires), then think about looking at target so see where it went.

I used to have that problem when shooting subcompact guns with a heavy trigger pull. The fix for me was to work on keeping a firm grip with my support hand.

The whole group is left. I did have night sights put in as soon as I got the XD.
But I’ve also had several other shooters and the Range Master at my local range try it and it seems to shoot straight.

Funny tho, I didn’t have this problem with the rental Glock, shots were dead on but that’s a completely different grip and trigger.
A G19 is definitely on the list, but don’t want to give up on the XD entirely just yet.

Your hand fits this gun differently.
When the WHOLE GROUP is off, adjust the sights to suit YOU before you start overanalyzing and finding non-existent problems.
If you are making nice rounds groups, you don't have a problem other than sight adjustment.
