Is HKs LEM trigger reset better than their DA/SA

As title says, is the reset on the LEM versions of P30 shorter than their traditional SA/DA triggers?

And if so how much less of travel reset is there? How much reset travel compared to like a stock Glock?

If anybody has any experience or owns one, can you chime in.

I read up on how the lem trigger works and im positive i would like it but my main concern is the reset.
Im used to Glock resets and my standard USP had a very long reset.

No. The P30 is awful in both. Owned both versions in the P30SK, both are completely awful triggers. You have to go aftermarket to try to make it decent.

To add, the reset is looooong, mushy and nothing like a Glock. You cannot get them anywhere near what a Glock reset feels like. The USP trigger is worlds better than a P30.

For the record, Gray Guns sells a drop-in short reset module for the HKs just like Sig does for their P22x pistols.

          ^What Tuna said.
Although, I find the stock LEM quite shootable and the reset good on a carry weapon. I prefer it over Glock and HK's standard DA/SA or SA trigger.

Never tried either variant of trigger on a P30, but from my observations, the consensus is LEM and DA/SA resets will always be the best in a full size USP. I did a LEM/ Match hybrid in my full size and used the Grey Guns SRT (which is just a modified seat latch really). Also did a LEM light in my USP Compact. I can tell it’s definitely shorter that standard DA/SA. On my HK45C with match trigger, the LEM still seems to be quite short compared to a match.

The LEM reset is longer than that of the Glock. And not as "clicky". You can opt for an SRT. Lazy Wolf also has an HK-Hammer Fired Master Reduced Reset Action Package, but its books are currently closed for many services.
The LEM is strange at first, but I like it a lot. The P30SK LEM V1 is my wife's favorite handgun.

OK so watched a lot of video and a lot of reading. I think as you guys stated, I need an aftermarket upgrade.
Got one last important question, all of the gunsmiths and drop ins like gray guns. Which do you think would not affect the reliability? Reliability is my #1 concern, if I cant get that, I will just learn the trigger.

I've put a little over 1k rounds through my usp after installing the Grayguns short reset kit, no hiccups.

I think the most common problem when doing LEM is when you start chasing a really light trigger pull. I would just use the springs that come with the LEM Kit, and for reliable ignition, just use your regular hammer spring and trigger rebound spring.

Just learn the trigger it's not that hard. Millennials these days just want participation trophies and striker fired triggers.

There's nothing wrong with the factory LEM kit in all variations. Just learn the characteristics of the trigger. It's designed to be an alternative to DA/SA for LE use. It allows the shooter to stage the trigger in a shoot/no shoot situations without the heavy DA pull you get with DA/SA duty guns. If you want, install the Match Nickel plated sear spring to improve feel & smoothness
History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes
