GLOCK or WILSON? Your opinion please....

I have a 3rd Generation G23 that I really like, but recently a buddy has offered me his Wilson KZ-45 at a really good price. I would have to sell my Glock and the magazines I have, including the "rebuild kits" which I really like having, but I'm seriously considering it.

What would you do and why? I appreciate the input.

And I know, the obvious answer is both, but that's not an option at this time.

Keep the G23, you already set up for it, and it is a damn fine gun.

I have heard conflicting reports on the Wilson Polymer pieces. If your getting a Wilson get a 1911.

I agree, if the Glock has been reliable for you, I wouldn't swap it for something that is unproven. Back when I was a broke college student on a limited budget there were several times when I had to sell one gun to buy another, let me tell you it is the worst feeling when you trade something in thats 100% reliable and end up picking up something that isn't.

I agree with the 2 guys above, though I'm guessing it's the caliber change you're after. You already really like the G23 and being Glock biased myself, I say stay with what you got. Your buddy may be offering too good a deal to pass up, but it may not be the deal you want. You can always start putting aside the $ to fund the .45 that will show up later. Anyway, best of luck.

Obviously you do not own nor have you shot a wilson KZ-45.
This gun is 100% reliable, and every bit of a wilson as all other wilsons.
I am not sure where you get that the KZ-45 Isn't proven???

I stake my life on My KZ-45's.
One on my night stand, and one at my office.
The 10 rounds of 45acp in a 1911 configuration is awesome.
Accuracy kicks but, single action trigger, kicks butt.





You are right, the glock and the Wilson are not comparable.
If you do not like a crisp trigger, you will not like the Wilson.

Compared to my wilson's my glock is a POS.

I do have a glock 21 with hicaps yadda yadda yadda, But I don't have a 23.
My G21 stays in the safe, and my KZ's are my choice of protection
Wilson is reliable proven, and stands behind their product.

Other than the extractor, all the parts interchange with my other wilsons, full length guide rod, bushing, barrel, trigger, beavertail?????
