If you want to help the shop, maybe you should let the owner know. I still haven't made it out there to check CA out.

I was in there last week to do a PPT, and the place was slammed. There were three PPT's in front of us. Although it took a while to get the transfer done, it certainly wasn't because they were being lazy. There were a lot of people there and they were helping as many people as they could. They've got a good selection of guns and ammo, and I've never had a problem there.Dom

I've been there many times. When they are busy it seems like you are being ignored, but over hearing the conversations with the people they are helping, they are very helpful. When not so busy, I have never been ignored. Plus their CCI 22lr ammo is the best prices I've seen
never been there, but i'd like to know what their CCI 22lr ammo is priced at? are we talkin' about mini mags?Comment

I know who you guys are talking about. I was in there a couple weeks ago to return some gun locks (the free ones) and there was this guy I've never seen before behind the counter.
I am used to Uncle V's semi-grumpiness but this other guy was something else. You're talking about the dude who has limited motion in one of his arms, right?
I asked him a question about a box of ammo behind the counter and got immediate attitude and a wisecrack reply. I'll go back to shop, but I'll avoid this guy.
BTW they had AR lowers in stock, one was $169.__________________________________________________ _____________________________________

I would think about one of those. Trying not to build up a warehouse of toys, though.

I just sent 107.7 an email. Just let them know how you feel (politely, lol). The more the better.Last edited by hybridatsun350; 05-02-2009, 9:11 PM.Dom

Gun shops are much like tattoo parlors - It seems inherent that most have some "attitide" issues which turn most people off. If you can find one ally behind the counter, I ask for that person only when I go. Creating that relationship has proven helpful - asking for a courtesy call if something interesting comes in on consignment or something arrives new.
I've had encountered some pretty severe rudeness at most of the shops here in Ventura County - except one - Fort Courage Armory in Simi Valley. These guys are totally cool and not trying to impress anyone with false arrogance, high prices or pissy attitudes.Comment

It didn't survive the day. I couldn't resist at about 4:30pm.
