Why does a handgun DROS ask about 45 days?

I didn't get an answer in the General forum, so I'll try here:

Since the limit is 1-per-30 days, why does it ask about "in the last 45 days"?

Not sure. As far as I know, a full 30 days needs to pass from the day of your first DROS is submitted to the DOJ until you can DROS again for another handgun. Of course you have to wait another 10-days after that for pickup.

i had a guy behind the counter at turners tell me that consignment doesn't count as "1 hand gun per 30 days" any validity to this?

true (except for places like LA, with their own 30-days laws). But they need to make sure they file the DROS correctly. If they run it as a dealer sale, it'll bounce back if you are within the 30-days. Same for PPTs.

Targetmasters is VERY careful about DROS and require excessive amounts of paperwork (their own forms). Their priority isnt selling guns, its running a range and prying on noobs to get them to buy their guns. I refuse to shoot there nor buy a gun there.

I looked through the DROS manual and did not see "45 days" mentioned anywhere in it. Was that maybe a separate sheet that Targetmasters supplies. Otherwise, all I can say is get a copy of the paper that says "45 days" on it so we can see what it is, and then maybe get to the bottom of it.
