As a precaution, might want to consider upgrading your recoil spring to 17lbs. & add a Wilson recoil buffer to reduce the slide to frame impact.

Well now I'm interested. Any pics? I shoot +p in the pro cdp 2 a lot, never had any problems with it. Doesn't show any wear or cracks after thousands of rounds of regular and at least a few hundred +p...

Give Kimber a ring and ask them what they think. For all I know they could say OK.

I wouldn't use +P on older 1911. I remeber seeing them having crack frame issue.
