Six hunnerd bucks at Osage County Guns. Surprised it isn't higher because that's about what M17's go for even now.

Why would anyone buy a striker pistol with a safety?

So you don't shoot yourself in the leg while reholstering?

Meh, waiting for cheap surplus Beretta's coming my way.
I dreamed of owning a (insert off roster gun here)...

Oh yeah....then the earth splits open with me on one side and the (off roster gun) on the other. Then appeared a large red-glowing pit with gavin newscum, diane frankenstein and governor "brown the drain" at the bottom of it, waving their pitchforks at me.

A manual thumb safety was a requirement for the .mil contract. If for no other reason, some of us like to own as close as possible to the civilian equivalent of the military issue weapon, and even the weapons that were submitted but not accepted. If the Glock 19x had been offered with a manual safety as was submitted to the .gov, I would have bought that version vs the non safety G19x that I currently own. Same reason I bought a beretta M9 vs a 92.The civilian m9 is closer to an actual mil issue gun than the 92. [emoji106][emoji631]

I am not a particularly huge fan of Sig Sauer in general, but I did buy the M17 version of this pistol. Having taken it out twice for a total of maybe 150 rounds, I like the pistol a lot. It fed everything I put in it and shot point of aim.

The trigger is very good, the night sights are good, and the ambi controls are great for me as a lefty. The mag release was easy to switch as well. Huge magazine capacity (where legal) of 21 rounds.

For a little under $600 ($825 for the all coyote mil version) it is a good value and a robust pistol.
