Opinions on Kimber Ultra Carry II 45 with 3 " barrel

Looking for a 45 with a 3" barrel that is on the roster. I like the Kimber Ultra Carry II but before I purchase it I would be interested in opinions from from other owners regarding FTF, reliability etc.. Thanks in advance.

I don't think they make a model called Concealed Carry II; they have the Ultra Carry II which is my EDC. I've got just over 3K rounds through mine and am very happy with it. Easy to conceal, reliable, accurate. It's very light for a 1911.

I have a Kimber Ultra CDP II. It's the nicest 1911 style gun I've ever had. Since I don't carry it, I kinda wish I had gotten it in full-size. But to answer your question, it's been a flawless shooter. There's nothing I've wanted to do to it to improve it.

Agree with above. I have a couple and they feel like part of my body. Definitely some of my favorites.

I've carried a UCII for years. Solid gun. If you have ANY ammo issues, consider three solutions: 1.) New mags 2.) new extractor 3.) new, higher tension recoil spring.

I had some feeding and extraction problems with certain ammo some years back. A new Wolff 21lb spring (factory is 18) and a Wilson Combat extractor resolved the issues entirely. I also use Wilson Combat mags.

I own an Ultra Carry II. After 1500 rounds it has yet to a failure of any kind. It runs on FMJ for training and Speer Lawman HP for everything else. I can highly recommend it.

I have an Ultra Carry II and once it had a little break period in it has been completely reliable.

I used a Kimber UC2 for EDC pistol and had some teething problems initially because of a tight chamber, it would gag on FMJ ammo. Not good for an EDC weapon.

After I go it back from Kimber I ran about 1k rds through it before I carried it. 100% function from then on.
Runs FMJ and HP ammo without a hitch. Still running the original springs in it. Steel cased, brass or aluminum doesn't matter to it.
