Extended mag release for Glock’s CCW

I am putting in extended mag releases on my Glocks. I think some can cause the mag to release while carrying. Is there a good one that is known to be CCW compatible? The Vickers?

the vickers/tango down is in between OEM and G34 extended release. I've added it on the G30 and doesn't get in the way of the Trex holster. I have it on my 19 and 17 as well

I use a box stock Glock 34 extended mag release in my CCW Glock 19. It's never released by accident but it definitely grinds into my side a little bit

Same. Extended G34 OEM mag release on my 19. I have been carrying that gun for 6 years now. I have never once accidentally unseated the magazine.

Also through every firearms training course I have taken, I have not released the magazine by accident.

I say go for it. Just train with it and youll be fine.

FYI all my ccw holstered I have used (probably 6 or 7. Appendix and 4 oclock carry) have had the magazine release partially covered, or covered completely

I have both the extended slide and mag release on all of my Glocks. The first and only change I make from stock. Very pleased with both for range, carry, etc. Never had an issue of any sort.

On a Gen 4 I like the Vickers.

On a Gen 3, I like to use the factory extended mag release and then I cut it down half way between extended and stock, and re knurl and break the sharp corners, like this:

that's what I am thinking, I have to change my grip in a big way to operate the stock mag release.

I use the Vickers in both my Gen 3’s and 4’s, I dislike the Glock extended as it sticks out too far for me. The Vickers is just the right length and feel.

I use the vickers as well. I have the stock g34 that I rounded the edges to make it more comfortable. But I prefer the vickers version over the stock

I agree the Glock extended is a bit long for carry without some additional work.

I have never seen a Vickers Gen 3 release but I am sure it is dialed in. I do use their Gen 4 release.
