    S&W 329 PD (lightweight .44mag) - highly recommended

Since I'm a new poster, I thought I would come in and recommend the Smith & Wessen 329PD .44mag.

I bought this over a year ago and it is awesome! Lightweight, kicks like a mule and great for camping/backpacking.

The wood grip would cause rubbing/tearing of the skin above my thumb after shooting about 20 rounds of magnum, maybe because I have really big hands.

I plan on switching to the rubber grip this summer. It also has an internal trigger lock with 2 keys. (edit: 1 key plus a spare)

    PICTURES!

Man that thing must kick; I have a 637 (Airweight .38) that beats me up pretty good with the 158grn +Ps - can't imagine what the .44 Mag feels like.

The 329PD kicks less than the 340sc with 158gr+ loads. Even with the wood grip!

I have had one for 2 years and love it, I don't think it kicks too bad. and it is light enough to carry around and not have your pants fall down.

Check out a quality aftermarket wood grip like Hogue or Ahrends.

Even though this weigs a bit more than yours since it's stainless, it's still a pocket rocket and I can shoot 100 rounds of 265g cast home loads at full hunting power (22g W296) without issues.

              It's wearing Hogues.
