    Walther PPK

Found this at a LGS today and just couldn't help myself. I have wanted one of these for many years and for one reason or the other I just never was in the right place at the right time. This one looks to be unfired since it left the factory back in 1968 and I don't think I will be able to upgrade it any time soon.

Unfortunately, the original grips are missing, but I have already found a like new set of originals and they will be here by Tuesday of next week.

      Congratulations!

Finding a pristine Walther PPK doesn’t get any better than that, unless you find one that comes with an Aston Martin and a “Bond Girl.”

Very nice, especially with the box instructions. And test target. Very hard to find that complete and pristine.

Man you always come up with cool stuff. You must spend a lot of time in used gun stores.

What an awful twist of fate! Since you'll never be able to shoot this pristine original, how long do you think it will be until you find a shooter?

I know, it kinda sucks I do have a PP made a year earlier that is definitely a shooter so I can always use that instead. Somehow it probably won’t be quite the same though. I guess I’m going to have to keep looking until a proper shooter grade PPK turns up. As for how long that may be, it’s hard to say as I am kind of picky and I want a German made gun and yes, I know they are actually made by Manhurin and assembled by Walther.

What’s kind of funny is that I went in there with the intent of purchasing a like new 1980 vintage Series 70 they had, but I got distracted when I spotted this little Walther. Now I am hoping that it will still be there when I have financially recovered from buying the PPK.

Super nice find dude! Clean it up and oil the bore and put it away. Don't modify it in anyway.

I did a search of completed Gonebroker auctions and even though there are only a couple, it seems that they sell for around $1050. I feel pretty good about this one as I got it for $750.
