Is this normal for a new Glock?

I brought a brand new Glock 19 home, field stripped and inspected the internal parts.
I don't know the name for the thin rail running next to the plunger but found it odd that the finish was worn off and it looks a little deformed. The machining In front of the plunger is rough as well as there are bits of metal that's should have been machined out. The plunger itself looks beat up as well. I have 2 other unfired Glock that look very similar, bought around 4.5 years ago. I called Glock and they had me send in a photo. Is this normal? I have not seen this issue on other 9mm semi autos that I have.

            It's not grease.

To the OP, not complaining, just want to know what causes it.

It's brass or copper from ammo that's been run through the gun. It don't mean nothin'. After you put a few miles on the gun, the surface will become smoother and more polished.

Metal parts wearing together. Its normal and a non issue.

Wipe it clean and post another pic. Hard to tell in pics what's greasr and what's wear.

posters are right...hard to tell what is grease and what is metal...post another pic.

there shouldn't be any rough metal anywhere that you're describing

Now that the troubleshooting is over with, pray tell: why do you collect unfired Glocks?
