Anyone who has a glock 29 or 30... Can you please post a picture of the frame where the slide lock spring/leaf sets. The other day I took my slide off to take the oem factory Slide Lock Lever out for a extended version. The leaf spring broke off from the frame and I had to order a new one but some reason I can't get it to seat in. I would like to get a close look of the frame where the spring sit. I try looking on YouTube and Google but nothing else falls between the big day frame.

It is the same for every Glock. The big question is, did you get all of the old spring out?
Here is a generic pic sequence found online.

Good job SkyHawk.
Those are great pictures, and something else to add to my Glock knowledge folder.

Nope, slide lock.
Not pushing Lone Wolf products, I just happen to have them up perusing the site.
Lone Wolf Arms is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket parts for Glocks. We also have M&P Shield, Beretta/Taurus, and Browning Hi-Power parts.

Yeah but Glock calls it the slide lock. You can see the schematic and part name here in the factory manual
If you want to order or discuss parts, you go with their factory given names regardless if you agree with them or not. Every manufacturer has their own idea of what a part should be called.
And the Glock slide catch is called the ‘Slide stop lever’.Last edited by SkyHawk; 10-07-2019, 9:55 PM.Comment

Okay, maybe they call the part I thought he meant a "slide stop". I have always called a lever used to remove a pistol slide a takedown lever.Nope, slide lock.

Believe me I also thought the same thing at first. I was about to tell him how to install the slide catch. Then he mentioned leaf spring and I thought WTH is he calling the slide catch wire spring a leaf spring for?
Then it dawned on me that the slide stop on a Glock is the part that allows the slide to be locked or unlocked from the frame, and it does use a leaf spring. It doesn’t really lever, so maybe that is why they didn’t go with lever. It is just a spring loaded blocking bar.Comment

Yes, and I was also thinking that if he broke the spring off the "slide stop", you can't replace it, you need a new "slide stop".Believe me I also thought the same thing at first. That's why I have always called the lever or catch used to remove the slide a takedown lever or catch. You only use it to disassemble. Makes it much clearer to me.Comment

Sorry for all this... It's this auto correct system on this Amazon tablet is killing me. However I'm just saying by the name that glocks call it and I Google and it pops out what it's call. I call it what everyone else calls but sometimes it's best to call it the real name so everyone can understand it.Comment
