I am planning to purchase my first 9mm pistol and have decided on the CZ 75 model. However, I am torn between the standard 75B DA/SA versus 75B SA only. I am leanning toward DA/SA but I heard that the SA is more accurate with a better trigger action. Does anyone have any experience with both guns and can help me to make the decision?

CZ 75B or CZ 75B SA

I have both and perfer the SA while at the range for its nice crisp trigger. The prior owner did some work on the trigger so I can't comment to the stock trigger of an SA. CZ-75s are all great too bad they are soo expensive now. Bought my first new one in 2005 for $450 (tactical) new and another used one for $299 (standard) from a CAlgunner. In any case get the Kadet conversion too for cheap plinking. -
The SA will probubly cost a tiny bit more and be harder to find.
The SA only has more potential for a great triggerjob; but it will be very similar to the DA/SA in stock form.
The DA/SA is legal in more "divisions" in the shooting sports (USPSA, IDPA)
There are slight differences in the mag release and beavertail between the SA and the DA/SA 75B. The SA also has the low-rise safety that's ambidextrous.Comment

I vote for the SA, because I have one. I like it a lot. It's the only one I ever saw in San Diego and I swooped it right up! Haven't seen another SA since!
The 75B SA is my only 9mm. I could use another 9mm but can't find one that I like as much as my CZ. I really don't like double action triggers that much, so my choices are limited. The question is not "How far?". The question is "Do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?". - Il Duce/Prisoner#6570534 from Boondock Saints

I have a cz75sao and I use to have a standard b model. Accuracy wise both were about the same. The trigger actually was a hair better on the standard b model. For just a range gun I would suggest the sao model but for an all around gun including home defense the standard b I think is a better choice. For at home you can leave the b loaded hammer down. Just point and shoot. For the range or matches the b can go cocked and locked too like the sao model.. MarkComment

SA has a different set of handling characteristcs. The frame beaver tail is extended a little, and allows for a higher hold. The thumb safety is wider, making it easier to operate. The trigger is sometimes better, but I wouldn't count on it.
I think it comes down to whether you are more comfortable with SA operation or DA/SA. I personally like DA/SA better. You can always use a DA/SA as an SAO by using the cock and lock feature.Comment

Trigger aside for a sec, I like the heavier full nose and beavertail grip of the SA, and like it better than a 75B DA. I've managed to get the stock SA trigger worked out pretty well, but my plan is to get the 85 combat trigger and comp. hammer installed on it to convert it to DA, which I think is the best of both worlds. Having owned & operated both like everyone else here, I'd choose the SA first if I did it over again from scratch, I like it more.Comment

Trigger preference is subjective so it might help to consider the utility of the pistol.I am planning to purchase my first 9mm pistol and have decided on the CZ 75 model. However, I am torn between the standard 75B DA/SA versus 75B SA only. I am leanning toward DA/SA but I heard that the SA is more accurate with a better trigger action. The Da / SA model with manual safety can be carried C&L and also, since it can be manually decocked, it could be carried with a round in the chamber for a first shot DA.
If space and money were no object, I'd have both versions of this gun. If I were only to have one, it would be the DA / SA version.Comment

I really like my 75 SA. It is possibly the mist enjoyable gun I own. I had Randy Lee @ Apex Tactical do an outstanding trigger job on this gun. The thing I like the most on the 75 SA versus the regular 75 is the extended Beaver Tail. This really makes the gun handle better when shooting quickly. I use this gun in Limited in USPSA and Limited in Steel Challenge matches. I would say get the 75 SA or the SP01 which also has the extended Beaver tail.
