Otherwise, I don’t see any issue in the pics you have provided. Make sure someone hasn’t borked the frame around the mag release trying a left/right-swap or just improper removal/reinstall. Seen a few of those...

Yes this is a CA model, we worked out a deal for 600.

Ask to see the SKU label on the box (pic). See if it was shipped from the factory as an E2. Be sure the grip tool is included. If it was not shipped as a factory E2, you need to make sure the E2 hammer strut+spring seat is correct for E2 grips.

Also, if you are dealing on Armslist only do face to face - do not send money. Armslist is 95% scams.

I don't see anything that stands out as an issue, but I wouldn't lay out any cash until I did a hands on inspection. I'm just funny that way. Picture's alone will probably not tell the whole story.

The grips on that gun are E2 grips.

The concern would be that someone put those E2 grips on but did not put in the matching hammer strut and spring seat. That would affect proper function. But if it has been done correctly, then I would not worry if it was not shipped from the factory as an E2.

If it was shipped like that it should have E2 in the SKU somewhere, probably not at the beginning though. I don’t see an E2 on the roster but maybe there used to be.

You don't need any more pictures, that P226 looks to be in very good condition. And unless he purposely took a screwdriver to the rails, it should be in as good condition.

As long as this is a face-to-face transaction at a FFL location, everything should be fine.

I know this is your first gun purchase, but remember that the P226 was designed as a weapon of war, it can take more abuse than you'll ever give it.
