The Shield 2.0 still uses the loop on the end of the trigger bar like the 1.0s. The M&P 2.0s (Full and Compact) do not. They have the new trigger system.
As for "feel", I can not comment directly. I have a 1.0 Shield and a 2.0 trigger in my 1.0 fullsize. The Shield does have a much different trigger shoe that feels more solid and less flexy. My fullsize now wears a 5" CORE slide that has an improved striker block (like the Apex) so it's really smooth.
