    S&W Model 59 magazines found source!

    I inherited a M 59 from my late brother a few years ago, then gifted it to my son-in-law. This pistol had sat in an outdoor shed up in Port Orchard, WA for years (along with a few other friends no one knew about either!) Anyway we took it to the range last year total non function, FTF, FTE, stove pipe etc. So When I recently joined the indoor range I left it with their gunsmith who suspected the original mags. While I hunted for replacement mags he cleaned it and said it's actually in great condition.
    I found these mags (very decent price I think) and ordered one to test, he called today and said the pistol functioned flawlessly with the new mag, so I've ordered another, then I can give it all back to my son-in-law, after I pick it up, from the gunsmith.

          Thanks good to have more than resource fer the hard to find!

          Pricing about the same.

          Had to get factory mags direct from Beretta for my inbound Beretta M81 32acp (I'm not in CA) I ordered.

              Good to know, but they're 15 rounders. I picked up some Mecgar 590x ones, but they fit tight. My understanding is that the 59 could use Browing Hi-power mags, but never tried that.
              It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men.

                  Browning, Beretta & the 59 use similar magazines. I've tried to fit on occasion, the mag catch cut needs to be re-placed. I've found it's not worth it and more so since having an out of CA residence.

                      Yikes! Very Sorry I forgot about that 15 rd issue!

                      That Greg Cote link has 10 rd M59 mags I think.

                                      Keepshooting is a great company, good people. I would try and get some new mag springs and clean/rebuild the old mags.

                                      Glad you found some mags and got that old shooter running again!
