    cobra derringer range report

Exceeded expectations, well made considering cost.Shot my 1911 at the same time. About equal on kick and bang. Such a short barrel 2.75 for a 38 special bullet.
Shot at 10 yards and was able to keep hits on body mass target.
I consider any derringer a 5 yard or less defense gun.
Glad i bought it Found a make up pouch my wife has and it fits. only one inch wide. looks like a wallet in my front pocket.
    Zero operating problems.
    one negative
Because it has no trigger guard the trigger pull is hard so it will not be un safe.
Their is a video floating around on how to lighted the trigger.
Wish in CA i could carry it i would

I have an AMT DAO 380. 2.5" barrel, DAO, just a groove for sights. I bet your deringer is at least as accurate, and I qual'd for CCW with mine.

The trigger goes down as much as it goes back, pulling down makes the trigger easier to pull.

I have had a Davis derringer for a long time, basically the same as the Cobra I believe. They are inexpensive and not made of high quality materials, but they are reliable and do what they are supposed to do.

I know you said that you don’t plan to carry it, but FYI, there are some descent, inexpensive holsters for them. This pocket holster was on eBay for less than $15 shipped.

          * note - even WITH the trigger guard its a hard pull - i removed mine
