You probably already know, but its against the rules of craigslist to sell firearms (the ad will be pulled).
Also, posting a link to that ad might be considered a sale, currently against the rules (although I might be wrong).

That just means you better hurry if you're interested. As far as I know, posting links to items of possible interest is not forbidden on calguns.

If it's forbidden, it's loosely enforced, these types of things pop up here all the time.

Cool pistol, but the last thing I need to do is add another format of pistol to learn.

I'm not sure whether the USP match barrel is threaded or not; I think it is, to attach the compensator and barrel weight. If that is true, then this pistol is considered an assault weapon in California, and can not be sold. It is, however, possible that the threads have been removed or permanently covered, in which case this pistol is legal.

Another warning: Occasionally, postings of weapons vanish quickly on Craigslist, because people complain about them. If you are interested in this, you should contact the seller really quickly, and ask him/her for a means of contact other than the Craigslist e-mail, which might vanish together with the item.

I think the USP match is very rare in the US, even more so in California. Does anyone know of another one around? Mark23s are relatively common (I know of about a half dozen in the bay area alone).
It dosent use a MK23 barrel at all, the only thing it has in common with the MK23 is that it has an oring. The barrel is not threaded and the compensator is more of a weight that attaches to the frame. USP matches are rarer than the other types of USPs only because they were not very popular untill the introduction of the Tomb Raider movies.

Unlike the MK23 the USP match is not imported into the US anymore.

And i do know of one around SoCal.

If someone was really cutthroat. They'd establish communication with the seller then report the ad to craigslist.
