I bought this little guy last night from a friend of a friend. It's no secret to those who know me that I am a 1911 fanboy and I will buy nearly any 1911 that is even remotely well priced. Because of this my friends seem to always call me when a decent deal on one turns up. This one looks to be virtually unfired, was priced very reasonably, so of course it was a no brainer and I gladly gave it a new home.
I took these pictures last night right after I got home and hadn't cleaned it yet. Tomorrow we go to the range to break it in and see how it shoots.
The Colt website says it was made in 1997. The trigger is very nice and the minimalist grip safety fits me perfectly, so all I think I am going to do is change the sights to something like the Truglo's that are on my M45A1.

I don't particularly care for the billboard rollmarks, but I have had another one of these from the same era and it was an excellent shooter so I am more than willing to overlook the markings.
