    Sig Sauer M17, 320

Hello how does everyone who has
Shot the M17/320 like that pistol? I have experience with glocks and Sig p229 in .40.

Whats your review on the m17, would you recommend it for your sister or brother? Does it shoot better than a glock?

I tried a P320 full sized in Vegas last week and like it so much that now I have an M17 Bravo in jail.

They sure feel better than Glocks. The small calibers have a grip angle the same as a 1911 instead of the ridiculous thing the Glock has. The .45 is much less 2x4 like than the Glock 20/21.

I got an M17 the first week they were released with the intention of selling it...I still have it. Bought the compact and sub compact kits and drilled out the slot for the safety in the grips. Stock trigger was ok, a little gritty and stagey. I liked the stock glock trigger with a 25 cent job better. Bought a Grey guns trigger kit (the one with the lighter trigger return spring and sear springs) and what a difference!. I only use the lighter trigger spring and not the sear springs, down to 4.5 lbs now. Threw the X carry frame on there and wow! That has got to be the best feeling grip out there on a striker fired pistol. Waiting for the release of the small size X frames in coyote tan, but this is the only gun that I can get similar groups as I do with my 1911 MC Operator. I was lucky enough to grab some 21 round and 17 round mags during freedom week. The 1911 stays in the safe now. I'm not a Glock fanboy, but I really like Glocks. I really wanted to like my gen 5 17 better that I just picked up, but the M17 simply out shoots it, in my hands anyway. Even with the "higher bore axis", there is less felt recoil too. I know physics doesn't lie, but grip shape/geometry and different hand anatomies can factor into that as well. More trigger time is needed with the g17. I spent the past year shooting the 320 so no surprise that I shoot it better. I replaced the front sight with and Ameriglo pro glo front. The sights are a little large in general for my liking, prefer 10-8 rear with Dawson front on my glocks, or night sights with .125 front and .140ish rear. I only wish they would release different rear sight plates with smaller notches, I prefer a U notch rear anyways. Keep in mind, aftermarket barrels are zero for the M17, as there is a cut out on the top of the breech for a loaded chamber indicator, but if you get exchange kits it is a moot point anyway. Also, the stock barrel is super accurate as is. Favorite combo is the full size carry frame with the 4" compact slide. I don't think you can go wrong with either glock or a 320. I will say that the Gen 5 glocks feel significantly smaller and better in the grip area than the gen 3, not as fat. As good as they feel in the hand, I'll echo what Sigstroker said in that the 320 feels even better in the hand...and I really like glock and wanted to like the glock better.

Iron Sights range in Oceanside has one for rent. Think they also have the 320 in 45 as well

Haven’t shot the M17 but have shot the compact 320(civilian M18)as recently as last Friday. I qualified with it on a 50 round SWAT qual course, scored a 46 out of 50 not bad. Got the same score with a M&P VTAC 40, but my groups were a little tighter with the M&P. Overall I like the gun and the trigger, my only complaint with it is the large take down lever. It just feels awkward on my support hand thumb while shooting, besides that great gun.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

The M9 should have been a decock only model from the get go for the military IMO
