    G1926

A few years ago I picked up a gen 4 G 19 complete slide that I was going to use on a Talo frame, but decided against. Gen 4 frames are basically impossible to find ( the PRK). Then I learned that a Gen 4 19 slide will work on a gen 3 26 frame. So.... I ordered a frame, parts kit, and shipped the slide to Brazen Firearms. This pic doesn't do it justice, I am very happy with their work. The gun functions flawlessly so far with about 200 rounds through it. I know the haters and naysayers will hate it........but I don't care. It was basically parts I had laying around for years that I decided to do something with. I could care less about the "resale" value and am more interested in a gun to replace my Shield with. Anyway, here is my FrankenGlock.....

That setup makes a lot of sense for a CCW pistol. I have a G27 and G23, believe me the thought of installing the G23 slide on the G27 crossed my mind many times.

I don't think so, but don't take that as gospel. The Gen 4 slide works as the subcompacts have the double spring recoil assembly already. The tab at the front of the slide that the recoil spring sits in is larger on a gen4 / sub compact.

That will be the intended purpose. I have an old 23 that I did the grip cut on and CCW'd for a while. It worked fine, but I travel a lot, and usually have the Ruger PCC with me, so I'm going all 9mm and want the ability for all magazines to work. This is going to replace my Shield.

I have wanted a 17 for a long time and often think about cutting for 19 mags to fit. I've heard a lot of people love it due to the "hump" being almost eliminated.

If you are in the Bay Area we can meet up at a local gun store so you can see the G1719

Yes it removes the hump almost completely

Sure let me know. I may also be looking to sell it at a reasonable price as all my holsters are g19 size (and I don't wanna buy new holsters lol)
