If a handgun was giving to someone by there father a few years back. And has never been registered could that person declare it as there proporty to the DOJ or whats the best way to legally register it.

Have the son file one of these forms -
Operation of Law or Intrafamilial Handgun Transaction Report. Be sure to put the father's name and "father" in the ACQUIRED FROM space near the bottom.
