Need help with 92fs rear sights please

I'm stuck for the last hour or so having trouble removing the stock rear sights.

From what I read, I have to remove from left to right, and install from right to left unlike the other guns.

I tried both plastic punches and the aluminum ones that come with the Dawson sights.

I'm trying to install Wilson Combat rear sights on my Beretta 92fs.

    Please help.

Edit: I also tried different sized hammers and heating it up a bit with a heat gun but with no luck

You may need a sight pusher for that project.

        Correct.

OP....you're a braver man than me. I'd just pay my local gunny to swap it out.

        Good Luck!

Thanks guys. Right to left worked. Installed left to right. Won't go in any other way. I ended up using a regular punch to remove the stock sights as I didn't care if I scratched it up or not. For the install, I had to take off a bit of metal with a file.

The stock sights are the only thing I hated with my 92fs, and the fact that we can't do anything with the front sights (ourselves that is).

Now, the sight picture is a big improvement with the blacked out rears and U notch..

Thanks, they are pachmayr g10 grips. Purchased them for $30 which came with pachmary G10 knife so not a bad deal at all. I dyed them all black, used to be grey and white.

I wasn't happy with the look of the grips. I went ahead and tried to dye it with Rit.

This is while boiling the water/vinegar mixture and placing the grips on my hanger rig.. before:

                  Here are the grips installed.

They are not thinner than rubber grips for sure. I am awaiting delivery of Wilson Combat Black Cherry Thin grips as we speak

WC has a 20% sale off $200. May be a good time to go shopping now hehe

I'm sure for some people those plastic/nylon punches are the bomb. For me it's like *tap tap... SNAP* "Well, that was worth the five dollars I paid for it..."

I like the thin also on my 92fs.
It gives the grips a real detailed look.

Was not sure about the Black Cherry but think the real dark red works well.
Picked this up a few months ago and installed the Black Cherry grips.
Yours will have a lot more detail in color vs. mine, more like the 92fs grips

Waiting for yours, may change mine.

Thanks for sharing. I'll post some pics most probably this Friday. Aren't yours the Black Cherry, I didn't know that dark red is available?

I think the grey WC grips look better on a black 92 as it looks "Albino" to me

This is the main reason I dyed my other grips to black.
