Appendix carry Glock 19 or Glock 26?

So, I've been checking out some holsters and really want to go for an appendix carry rig. I currently have my Glock 19 and am planning on getting a Glock 26 as well. This is kind of my dilemma--should I get an appendix carry rig (such as the Comp-Tac 2'OClock) for the G26 or get it for the G19 and have the option of carrying either gun in one holster? My main question is about the G19s slide length--for appendix carry is the gun a bit too long and uncomfortable, for instance, when sitting and therefore should I just get the holster for a G26 since the length of the slide is shorter making sitting more comfortable? Or is the G19s length not too bad for appendix carry?

Any information/advice is much appreciated!

Appendix carry is the preferred position of a friend of mine (as well as his father, who's a former cop). He's been carrying a SIG 228 for years this way (not sure what holster for it), though he recently got a Glock 30 and is trying to find a holster to accomodate this position.

G26 is the best way to carry or carry the one you've trained with.

Question is, is the G26 the best way to carry appendix because the G19s length is just too uncomfortable to sit with or are the differences between lengths of the G19 and G26 not much of a difference when it comes to comfort and sitting with an appendix rig? In my mind, I'd think, If comfort level when sitting with a G19 and G26 are not much different, then I would just get the G19 size so that I have the option of carrying both guns. If the G19s length is generally an issue when carrying appendix, then I'll stick to getting a holster only made for the G26.

Get yourself a pair of 5.11 jeans with the appendix carry pocket and give it a try. Some folks like it, others don't because the firearm gets in your way everytime you want to sit down. IMO the G19 will be too long for appendix carry.

G26 vote for appendix

I have carried a Kahr MK9 in appendix position using a Comp-Tac 2 o'clock holster. The MK9 is a small gun with a 3 inch barrel and short, two finger grip. It works well in the appendix position because of its small size.

I own a Glock 19, and believe it would be a little large for appendix carry. The muzzle might dig into your thigh while seated, and the grip might stick out too far and print on your cover garment. I am pretty confident that the smaller Glock 26 would work well in appendix position, however, as it isn't much larger than my Kahr MK9.

Thanks for all the info, I think I'll stick to the G26/G27 size. BTW, that Kahr MK9 is absolutely BEAUTIFUL-really love the grips on it! Maybe I'll get one of those instead lol.
