Yep, I never thought I'd mention Glock and malfunction in the same breath, but I experienced a few just now.
Scenario: G34. Loaded 3 rounds into a 10 rd mag. Picked up the gun from the table, pointed at the target one-handed without using sights and pulled the trigger in one fluid motion. The second round indubitably fails to chamber; it gets stuck at an angle.
However, if I load 5 rounds or more, no malfunction. If I load 3 but hold the gun parallel to the ground (one handed or two), no malfunction.
Hypothesis: Probably not enough magazine spring tension to load the round evenly. Or not enough power from a factory 115gr load to move the slide back and forth to overcome the low spring tension or the inertia of the upward movement of the gun. I was using Blazers. Swinging the pistol upward has a limp wristing effect?
Bonus thought: I was pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of point and shoot. I managed a fist-sized group from 5 yds. In an emergency situation I intend to get my shots first with the point and shoot method and then use sights if situation allows.
