I always wanted one of those. Many years ago I traded in some great guns to an FFL in Arroyo Grande on the promise they could get me one. It was when they were starting US production and there some delays.
My guns got old off. I got some cash, but never the TPH.

    Good for you,

      THANKS!
EITHER THIS OR A WALTHER PP IN .32/22 OR ANY PPK IN .22/32 WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT.NOT SURE WHEN IT WAS MANUFACTURED.
      SERIAL NUMBER T017???.

I also owned a Beretta 21a for 28 years and that thing jumps but very reliable just not accurate.Almost day and night difference.I remember the TPH being advertised for around $400 back in the day same as the PPK while the 21A sold for around 200.

Somewhere around here I have one of the original, rare, CIA TPH examples. Actually had two, but sold one of them a few years ago. One of the most reliable small pocket .22LR ever made.

I had a TPH on a carry permit in the 80's, sweet shooter, had no trouble qualifying with it. Nicknamed the "tiny police heater"

I have a TPH - way better than the Tomcat in smoothness.

The one I have likes hotter ammo. Minimags work well especially the 40 grain bullets. The only thing I do not like is the slide/hammer bite if you have a high hold. I always wear shooting gloves when shooting it.

Funny i experienced the hammer bite also with my Browning 1911-22 compact.
I definitely be wearing gloves next time.

I have my TPH on my current CCW. It's a great tiny pistol that fits in you pocket well if you're running out the door and don't have time or the desire to carry something heavier.

Unfortunately, mine seems to have an issue. After chambering a round and dropping the hammer by engaging the safety, the first round (in double action) always seems to misfire. The subsequent trigger pull discharges the round and the last five discharge normally in single action. I'm guessing the plate that's part of the safety mechanism is not fully disengaging on the first trigger pull. I wonder if anyone else has had this issue?
