I shot a lot of lead so I purchased a KKM drop in barrel for my G21 and have been shooting cast for years. No issues and a new polygon original barrel.
Not sure if the doom and gloom was true, just didn't want to stop and clean every few hundred rounds.

Good article by someone who actually knows things.

I'd say that the lower velocities of 45 ACP decrease the risk of bad things too.

I imagine that if the lead is soft enough, it will cause problems in any barrel.

was going to use the lee 220grn tumble lube bullet with 5.1 gr unique.
