    Smith & Wesson Model 60-9

I have a S&W model 60-9 (CBU****) factory magnaported and I can't find any info on it. I purchased it in roughly 2000 from a buddy for $400 and I am just looking for a little insight on the gun. I heard the Model 66 factory magnaported was something of a rarity and I wanted to see how rare or common this gun was. It is a blast to shoot, especially with the Federal American Eagle 357 rounds because of the flame out the ports and the barrel! I was just curious if anyone knew about them.

    Thanks for any info.

And I looked, and behold a pale horse and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.

I think I found your gun in the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson. Product code 102420. 2 1/8” .357 Magna Ported. I think it was only made in 1996. It also looks like the 60-9 was introduced in 1996 as the first Model 60 chambered for .357.

It is probably somewhat rare. I have seen a lot of model 60’s in the local shops, but not Magna Ported. It sounds like a neat gun.

Post a picture of it if you can.
