Just picked up a Mosquito yesterday. Waiting for the ammo to be delivered on Monday (CCI Mini Mags). Can't wait to shoot it.

I have a Mosquito and shoot it often. A little picky with ammo but very reliable with CCI mini mags.

Make sure that the one you are getting is the 2nd gen version, because they claimed to had fixed the ammunition problem. I have the 2nd gen one and it basically shoots all types of 22lr. The only problematic ammo that ive came across is the Winchester Super X, because it fails to eject every time.

I have tried both Mosquito and Trailside. Both are wonderful in the size, grip and accuracy, IF I can get it to work. They are picky with the ammo, the neither of them like common bulk ammo. They do perform excellent with more expensive ammo, but for me 22 is for shooting cheap bulk ammo for. That being said, I hear newer Mosquito had fix that problem (and trailside no longer in production).
But with their going price I prefer Ruger mark series or 22/45.

Where'd you pick up the Mosquito at and how much did you pay? I've been looking for a .22lr to shoot around with. (actually debating between that, a browning or a .22lr conversion barrel for my Glock)

I shot my friend's sig mosquito and Is not that bad for $310.

One thing I dont like is that, sometimes either the case get stuck in the barrel or strove pipe at times.

              Where are you located at?

i have heard only negative about the first generation mosquito and hope the 'newer' version is a vast improvement. i heard the first generation guns were jammers; like i said 'i heard this' from others and have no first hand experience with the gun.

                  Not the Mosquito

The Sig 22lr pistol I was referring to is not the Mosquito. Sig Sauer has released a 220, 226, and 229 in 22lr. They are about 500.00. There is a coupon in the case that allows you "Up Convert" to either 45acp, 9mm, 40s&w
or 357sig for $399.00 which includes barrel, slide, guide rod and spring plus magazine.

The .22lr P220/6/9 pistols are not on the CA roster. You need to buy the normal P220/6/8/9 and add the .22 conversion.

That said, I've had great experience with my .22 conversion for my P226, with Winchester Super X, CCI Mini Mag, and Federal Value Pack. I've had the best reliability with the CCI and Federal.
