Range trip FTF question, anoth ideas?

Tried the Albuququre City operated Shooting Range Park today, for the first time since moving here. Went with a group of other shooters, 5 dollars to shoot all day, well setup but very controlled unlike the "Free range" I had at Carson City. Will do it again, was an enjoyable experience.

I didn't have issues, other than it is obvious I REALLY need more range time!
Which is definitely in the future!

Another member had problems and sent me this regarding his numerous Failure to Fires:

    "I was using a S&W Bodyguard 380 with a built in laser.

The ammo I was using was Sellier and Bellot 92 gr. and TulAmmo 91 gr. They both performed similarly.

I recovered a spent round and it is definitely a stronger deeper strike than all the rounds that I have that show a strike but not as deep.

Also the spent round looks like it has a rough little edge on one part where the firing pin hit the cartridge. All the strikes on the misfires are shallow and smooth where the firing pin hit."

Any ideas what maybe going on?
    Hard primers?
    Weak springs??

Sounds like you've got gunk in your firing pin channel. Detail strip the slide and clean out the FP channel and you should be good to go.

The ammo you’re using have the hardest primers. Get some standard American white box ammo - Remington, Winchester or Federal. If your pistol won’t set off Federal ammo something is wrong with your pistol.

Thanks guys for the input good places to start, will pass it on to the other shooter!
I had my Berretta 380 there but was kinda overwhelmed by the first time visit to that range keeping up with commands from the RO's and didn't even think about him trying his ammo in my pistol, DUH!
