Compact handgun weapon light? EDC light?

For a Glock 19, what would you guys recommend? For a 1911? I have guns and ammo, but no flashlights.

To tag on, what's a good compact EDC/pocket flashlight that I can leave in the glove compartment of a car, or carry in my backpack when needed?

I know there's inforce, streamlight, and surefire for these, but want to get an idea what feels and works best from people that actually own them.

I guess you can spend a lot of money, but for the car glove box a simple cheap light with a easy to find button on the end.
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

I love the Crimson Trace CMR-202 on my M&P 9c. Fits great, and when I had an issue with another Crimson Trace product their warranty was amazing! Great customer service means I’m a repeat customer!

The Streamlight TLR-3 works well with my SR9c as a compact light. I know quite a few people have it on their Glock 19. The TLR-1 HL would work well with the 1911. Haven't tried any other brands but Streamlight IMO works well enough for me and is priced right.

Olight has gone beyond expectations. They are doing a dam fine job.

            My bedside g19 uses a Streamlight TLR1

My flashlights for pocket carry when/if I do are Olight

HD Glock 21 with Streamlight TLR 8, very compact light and laser, Have not tried it on my G23 but it should be a good match. Have a few Sure Fires, 2 with combat rings that I used before getting the weapon mounted type.

Streamlight TLR-7 or 8 fits the G19 like a glove.

                  ^This, and the Surefire x300 fits a 5 in. 1911 about flush.

I have Surefire XC-1Bs on my G19s. Small, lightweight with 300 lumens and a constant on option in the thumb toggle switch.

Olight PL-Mini Valkyrie for the weapon light.

Any of Olight's myriad of EDC lights for EDC.

I've had very good luck with Olight and their prices are very good. Especially when you get them on sale.

Surefire x300 is wayyyy more than what I was expecting to pay. Are they really worth it for the money?

I have the 1k lumen x300 but Im not a fan of the buttons. I have inforce too, there nice and good price, but they lack lumens. So far my favorite is olight pl-2, 1200 lumens, and the QD mount is really nice to have. You can get them for $80 on eBay, find olight direct eBay account and offer them $80. And for an EDC light, I really like the olight S30R baton III. You can get it on eBay too, and do the best offer for ~20% off.
