You can use it for a gun you already have purchased legally. The FCU is the part that has the serial number, and is not available in California.

Oh, OK. Im not sure i understand. .

It's not available in California? The part is NOT a firearm that we can build up, and not available in ca?

You can buy the FCU as an off roster PPT.

The SIG P250/320 series has a removable serialized steel fire control unit.
This is the part that is considered the firearm and must be transferred through a FFL.
All the other parts, including the frames, are non-controlled parts.
The modularity of the SIG P250/320 design allows for one FCU to be made into any size handgun, simply by changing the frame size and upper (barrel/slide unit).

Since the SIG P250/320 is off-Roster, it can only be obtained via exemption (LEO sale, PPT, etc).

              Side note...
Although popularized by SIG, removable serialized steel fire control unit (FCU) for pistols were first developed internationally by Norinco in 1994, when they made the QSZ-92. In the USA, Kel-Tec has the first USA firearm manufacturer produce this concept, in 1999, with the release of the P32.

If you already have an X-carry, why would you want an X-compact? It doesn't make sense- it's a smaller model, except made big and bulky by the X features.

And made as a dimensionally compliant (minimum 6" barrel length + minimum 10.5" overall length) bolt-action single-shot pistol or as a dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistol and kept in that configuration while in CA. [PC 29182(e)(2)]

Bought mine last night. Have a full size, compact medium, the X-Carry and now the X-Compact frames. Been waiting on the release of these and received the email last night.

When I receive it, I'll post some compassion pics with Compact RX slide.

The Sig P320 is off Roster but you can one one via LE, paying ridiculous amounts for PPT or if you move from a free State to behind our Iron Curtain (Only God Knows Why).

Anyone know where I can find a Coyote Brown carry frame? Basically the same one on M17. I have the M17 slide, just want the lower (w/o safety cutout) to complete my M17 build.
