As someone who owns a Sig 1911 that has run flawlessly since I bought it in 2013, I concur with the posters before me.

I own both. Both are great. But Dan Wesson is better.

I have handled but not shot DW guns, and have shot a couple Sig's. The Sig's are nice, but fit and finish is nicer on the DW I've seen, and you don't have the limitations on holster selection that you end up with on Sig's because of their slide cuts.

Coming from a Sig fan with several elite and legion models, my first 1911 purchase was a Dan Wesson and couldn't be happier!
