So I was browsing around Instagram and came upon this glock compensator that uses a proprietary barrel comp configuration that locks the comp to the barrel with a roll pin.. thoughts on the legality of this???

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be legal. No threaded barrel, and it’s not compatible with standard threaded barrels. Maybe I’m missing something?

I sent them an email and it does use threads in addition to the roll pin. I'm pretty sure that would trigger AW status wouldn't it?

I can see the benefit of this as the crushing recoil of 9x19 is debilitating.

Are they marketing it as being California legal? I see that the title is “cali comp” but both the web address and the description refer to it as “carry comp”. My guess is that “Cali” is a typo.

You can make that gadget at home for the price of the screw and maybe a drill and a tap if you do not have a suitable one at home. Any piece of scrap steel rod would do, even a piece of rebar. Then attach it to your own barrel.

I seriously doubt that tiny comp would reduce recoil noticeably.
