Glock RTF

i know most glocks are DOJ approved (except G18), but i was wondering if the new RTF (rough texture frame) are exempt because of the designation. thinking about buying another G17 or G34 if it is.

IIRC, if it's not on the roster by model number then its not approved eventhough they are the same mechanically.

have you held one of them? definitely hold one before you make the purchase. I absolutely hate the rough texture. It feels like you're griping a piece of low quality sand paper.

Dont like the rough texture, but did see a few in a store, so I imagine its listed.

We've had two come through our shop. My personal opinion on the feel of the gun is that it has a more sandpaper like of a feel to it. It does provide more grip compared to the standard 22 model, but I'm curious as to how it feels when you shoot it. I wonder if it will dig into your hands a bit too much.

It's more like little tiny spikes rather than a rough texture. I love the RTF2 and can't wait to own one.

RTF2 is alot slimmer than the regular 3rd gen frame. I would like it on a G17 but if you want a .40 get a M&P

Personally, I like the gen 3 glocks, but wouldn't mind having an RTF......grip doesn't bother me and I like the look of the serrated slide......

The width is exactly the same... it just feels different.

Personally I prefer the RTF2. A bit more "grippy."
