    Need Your Help

S&W is bringing the 610 back into production. I've been wanting one for years.

If anybody else feels the same way, please contact Jan Mladek, one of the head honchos at S&W, and ask if S&W will please submit the 610 for inclusion to the CADOJ roster so those of us in California who want the gun can buy it.

    He's here.............

    jmladek@smith-wesson.com

The gun is machined for moonclips, and my understanding is that has a very sweet/smooth trigger action. It will shoot both 10mm and .40 Cal.

Here's the announcement about the gun...............

Smith & Wesson has reintroduced its Model 610 revolver, chambered in 10 mm Auto. Built on the Smith & Wesson N-frame, the 610 is available with either a four or a six-and-a-half inch barrel.

After seeing the article, I tried calling directly to this gentleman, was sent into his voicemail which said he wouldn't be in the office 'til after Monday, and left a message. I also sent an email. If the 610 makes it back on the roster, I'll buy 2 of them.

Hopefully enough folks will contact him to make an impression/let him know there are folks out here who want the gun, and this is supposed to be the gentleman connected to the reintroduction of this gun.

    Thanks regardless

I thought there can never be any new firearms add to the roaster? Micro stamping BS? I would like to get a 610 too.

      No....No........

That's the semi-autos, once they're gone, they're not coming back. The micro stamp or whatever you call it is for them.

The 610 slid off the roster when it went out of production. So I believe they can bring it back.

Shoot them an email, asking them to re submit the gun for the roster.

We may get lucky. S&W can do it, if they can see that enough folks want the gun.

Micro stamping does not apply to revolvers.

Yeah...........CK out the link in my 1st thread..................

          The 610 is a N frame revolver, a beauty.

Already machined for moon clips so you can shoot 10mm and .40 Cal.

The email link I provided is to the gentleman who's pushing this gun, or one of the folks who ok'd bringing the gun back.

              Well...........more 4 me.

Hopefully, all the folks that want one will contact S&W.

I think there's a chance, that if enough folks express a desire for the gun, S&W will resubmit the gun for the roster.

I will of course put myself down for 2.

Same here and I've tried .45 ACP with moon clips...I definitely prefer the 1911, as an example.

Not to mention S&W did OK with releasing revolvers without the damn lock...

I'm sure this gun doesn't make sense to some folks, doesn't work for some folks...... for any reason you care to mention. That's absolutely fine.

That's what forums are for............for everybody to speak their mind.............................I respect that.

As to me, bottom line, it's my money, it's up to me how I want to spend it, and even if somebody thinks I'm spending it on something they wouldn't get, that doesn't change what I choose to buy; the gun's back in production, if they sell it here I'm going to buy it..........

My appeal here, is to the folks that like me...........do want the gun, so for those folks, the only thing that counts is getting S&W to sell it here.

Again, for those folks, please hit up S&W to bring it to CA

Last week my dealer called SW, they are sending test unit for CA roster approval.
hope the roster will be determined unconstitutional even sooner.
                    otherwise, it fits for SSE2.

                      Just saw this!!.................Fabulous!!

Sounds good if that's what they're telling the dealer.

                      Thanks

"hope the roster will be determined unconstitutional even sooner."................................

Yeah............Absolutely. Ruger has a couple of cannons that are roster approved, but you can't get the WC GP 100 10mm in 3" barrel, an absolutely sweet looking gun........................ that's crazy!!

Never with a Hillary hole. If I ever did email the guy, it would be to go off on a tirade about the damn lock.

Never under any circumstance do I buy a SW with lock. It is a disgrace, a joke. They can keep it - I will wait for Ruger to do it better.
