    Buck Mark ammo?

Just acquired new Buck Mark URX and am looking for advice on which brand and velocity might work best. I have just about every kind and was planning to rest them one by one but thought I might ask first.

+1 , I do not know about subsonic ammo because I never bought subsonic ammo. BM shooting fine with Standard&High Velocity ammo. The only ammo I had problem with my BM is Remington Bucket O' Bullet but I thing I got a bad lot ammo not the gun.

subsonic has less powder inside, so you need to manually pull the slide for each shot.

CCI Minimags for mine, mostly because they are cleaner.
But mine ate most everything else.

I just fed mine a few hundred rounds of mixed bulk pack, and it was great with em.

I average around 1-2 failures per 100 rounds on my Buck Mark.

CCI Minimags have the REPUTATION of being highly reliable. Federal came out with what they call "Automatch" which is supposed to cycle your auto better ... not sure what that actually means.

The best thing is, of course, to go shoot the assortment that you have. You may not find the most trustworthy and reliable brand, but you will likely find brands that just do not work well. So it's worth doing just to weed out the weak-in-your-gun brands. Then pick one or two of the more reliable brands and stick to them until you figure out which of those you prefer. ie; shoot them all to whittle down the choice.

Mini mags work great in most semi autos but my buckmark seems to eat other stuff with little issue.
Ive been feeding it some ancient remington stuff lately and it hasnt hiccupped yet as long as its somewgat clean.

Mini Mags, Winchester Super X bith shoot well. Aquila High Velocity works too if you are on a budget.

                            My Buckmark eats almost everything.
                            It loves Winchester Wildcats.

As regards to MiniMags, if it won't run on them then there is something wrong with the gun, whatever gun that might be.

                              DabGunner,

My BM with the heavy target barrel works with any high velocity 22LR ammo. The brands/list is high as you can spend months testing your BM for it's particular accuracy. Once broken in standard velocity will work fine too.

I suggest you get as many brands as possible although these days it's quit hard.
I also suggest you access Brownings website and buy a bunch of rubber buffers. Every 1000 rounds you'll need to change it.

                              Good luck with your toy.
