I'm a 1911 fan, currently have a SA Stainless Loaded 1911-9mm in jail,
Own a mil spec SA 1911-A1 .45acp with a couple upgrades, 2 - GSG 1911-22s, the shorty and 5"...

I put down a deposit for a SA XD Tactical 5" 9mm on sale at Turners with the gear up package for my next one because it's only $500...but second guessing that choice since I have time to wait...anything else I should consider less than $750?

S&W 686's on the list for nostalgic reasons...Dad used to shoot PPC with a 6" 686 30ish years ago, and had a 4" as well...unfortunately he sold them a few years before he passed, I still have a custom wooden case that he stored them in.
