Hey guys, I purchased a Dawson Precision Ice magwell for my XDM Competition 5.25. I bought it with the modified #1 backstrap that's required to install the magwell. I pulled the stock #2 backstrap off and replaced it with the modified #1 backstrap supplied by Dawson. Needless to say, I hated it!!! I pulled the modified #1 off and put the stock #2 back on until I could get a #2 modified backstrap ordered from Dawson. There's only one problem... They refuse to sell them separately!!! I asked if I could send my stock #2 backstrap in for modification, for a fee of course, and they declined to do the modification. The guy emailed me back saying "You can do it yourself with an xacto knife and a Dremel tool". Well I decided to do just that. The problem is that when I removed the modified #1 backstrap I misplaced it so I don't have it for a template. So I wrote all that just to ask a simple question... Would anyone running a Dawson Ice magwell on their XDM be willing to send me clear pics of the modified backstrap? Thanks in advance.
