What's the general consensus towards using JB Weld to perm attach a thread cap?

Is this something that people often do, or is it considered non-compliant? Most threads I see are all over the place and very old outside of the NY state forums. Does it matter that it cannot be removed without tools, or is that not even a specification? To be more specific as to what I'm thinking, I'm considering doing it with a thread cap that has no wrench slots and is almost flush with the diameter of the barrel.

Permanent methods of attachment include full-fusion gas or electric steel-seam welding, high-temperature (1100o F) silver soldering, or blind pinning with the pin head welded over.

What they said. Easy method of removing jb weld is to heat it up.

Walther sold P22 pistols in Ca. that had thread locker on the muzzle fob to comply with the AW stupidity. These were found to twist off once the barrel was put in a small vice and channel locks were applied. No heat needed.
I saw this done in a NV gun shop for an ex-Ca. customer that wanted to buy a silencer for it.

Because, CA DOJ BOF admitted they made a mistake by not noticing the threaded barrel when they first listed it on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale and authorized a quick fix for the Walther P22.
