Bersa Firestorm-Double Feed

A friend has a Bersa 380 Firestorm and it is double feeding. I have heard that some mags can cause this. She only has the original mag that came with it.
Want to try a different mag before we go any further. Any recommendations?

You might also want to make sure that the pistol is clean and lubricated, and that the mag is clean.
Sometimes a little gunk can make a big difference.

Thanks guys, cleaning & lubricating was my first suggestion, she bought it new, and that is our first step, lube that was applied at factory is probably gunk now if not all gone. I have not seen the gun yet, so I need to shoot it then clean & lube & see what happens.

If you in OC, then go to Firing Line, Huntington Beach. I had the same gun and couple mags, you can try you mag on my gun and my gun with your mag.

Since your partner is using the original magazine the first thing I would do is take apart the magazine and clean it. While it's apart you might have her stretch the spring a little and increase the tension. That might help/cure the double feeding issue. Otherwise I'd have her buy a new magazine entirely.

I'm betting the magazine spring is weak.
